Cal Aggie Hosts Contact Information: The UC Davis Police Department's Cal Aggie Hosts provide safety, security and hospitality for about 400 events per year. The events range in scope from concerts, sporting events, cultural shows and major events such as Picnic Day and the Whole Earth Festival. The goal of the program is to provide campus guests that come onto campus with a safe environment while they attend events. Aggie Hosts are undergraduates at UC Davis and work between 10 to 19 hours per week. They can be identified by their bright yellow jackets or shirts. Effective May 1, 2008 Aggie Hosts will be $17.00 per hour, supervisor rate will be $20.00 per hour and Aggie Host Coordinator Rate will be $37.00 per hour. Click here for a copy of Chief Spicuzza’s memo Cal Aggie Escort Service Escort Hours: The UC Davis Police Department's Cal Aggie Escort service provides rides or walking escorts to students, staff and faculty. The goal of the service is to provide those on campus with an alternative to walking alone or within a small group. Those using the service will be either provided a ride in the marked van or escorted on foot. The service is limited to campus and is free of charge. All employees of the escort service are fingerprinted and attend a class on safe driving on campus. The department encourages those that do not feel safe while moving about on campus to call the Aggie Host Escort Service at 530-752-1727. |
