The Communications Center at the University Police Department is staffed 24 hours a day; seven days a week by ten P.O.S.T. certified public safety dispatchers and are supervised by one P.O.S.T. certified public safety dispatch supervisor. The Communications Center manages police and fire communications for the University of California, Davis campus area and the University of California, Health System located in Sacramento.
The public safety dispatchers serve as the critical link between the University community and all public safety emergency and non-emergency responders. Our dispatchers are committed to acquiring and disseminating pertinent information to help protect life, property, and the environment. In doing so, they strive to provide the community with the highest level of service.
Emergency Call List Update:
Every year the UC Davis Police Department’s Communication Center requests that individual units and departments review their emergency call out list for accuracy. If there are changes needed, please go to the Emergency Call List Form. Please, print the form, complete it in its entirety and return using the following fax number: 530.752.3216 or email your completed form to letgarcia@ucdavis.edu.
Though we send this reminder out once a year, we ask that you remain vigilant and make the necessary changes throughout the year and submit your form to us.
It is imperative for emergency purposes we have accurate information on file. As you know, this information is kept confidential and only used for law enforcement or fire related emergencies.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
UC Davis Police Department’s Communication Center
