The Communications Center at the University Police Department is staffed 24 hours a day; seven days a week by ten P.O.S.T. certified public safety dispatchers and are supervised by one P.O.S.T. certified public safety dispatch supervisor. The Communications Center manages police and fire communications for the University of California, Davis campus area and the University of California, Health System located in Sacramento.

The public safety dispatchers serve as the critical link between the University community and all public safety emergency and non-emergency responders. Our dispatchers are committed to acquiring and disseminating pertinent information to help protect life, property, and the environment. In doing so, they strive to provide the community with the highest level of service.


Emergency Call List
To ensure proper notification, in the case of an emergency, it is imperative that we have the correct names and numbers to contact on file. Would you please return this form to us indicating at least three names, with both office and home telephone numbers of people whom you wish contacted in event of an emergency affecting your department or office. All home telephone numbers will remain confidential. For campus locations when listing an employee with us also indicate if the individual is a Safety Coordinator or alternate. It is important that this department be notified as changes in these numbers occur.
