Note: We do not accept lost backpacks, clothing or water bottles.

How to Claim an Item

Claiming an Item at the Sacramento/Medical Center Campus

Items are held at the UC Davis Police Department for 90 days. Items can be retrieved from Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 12p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., except during holidays.

To claim an item you must have the report number (found on the letter mailed to you, or on the website) along with the following:

Valid Identification: Drivers License, Student ID, Employee ID, Passport, Other Photo ID.
Proof of Ownership (at least one): Purchase receipt, description of item in detail

After 90 days, unclaimed items are sold at auction. You can view the auction online at calauctioncompany.com

UC Davis Medical Center at 4200 V Street, Sacramento, California
Parking is available on the east side of the building. Posted signs state "Do Not Enter - Police Parking Only." Walk to the opposite side of the building for the front entrance. Please do not block police vehicles.
