Jade Street / Hutchison Drive (Sol at West Village) | 459 PC – Residential Burglary

On 07/02/23 between 03:30 AM and 12:00 PM, an unknown suspect entered an unoccupied room of a multi-room apartment through a window. The window latch was found broken, but there were no signs of forced entry from outside, so it is unknown if the window was secured at the time. A resident was home during the reported timeframe but was possibly asleep during the crime, as nothing was heard. The suspect stole items from the common quarters, such as a backpack, wallet, AirPods, and an electric skateboard.

No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should contact UCDPD at 530-752-1727. Updates regarding this incident, when and if available, will be posted on the UCDPD website at https://police.ucdavis.edu
