LOCATION OF INCIDENT | CRIME

Jade Street / Hutchison Drive (Sol at West Village) | 459 PC – Residential Burglary

SUMMARY OF CRIME | INCIDENT

On 07/02/23 between 03:30 AM and 12:00 PM, an unknown suspect entered an unoccupied room of a multi-room apartment through a window. The window latch was found broken, but there were no signs of forced entry from outside, so it is unknown if the window was secured at the time. A resident was home during the reported timeframe but was possibly asleep during the crime, as nothing was heard. The suspect stole items from the common quarters, such as a backpack, wallet, AirPods, and an electric skateboard.

  • Always close and lock doors and windows and ensure they are latching properly.
  • Consider third-party camera solutions to monitor points of entry.
  • Always be alert for unusual activities and unfamiliar persons loitering in the area.
  • Do not keep valuable items near windows with open drapes.
  • Light all entrances or use motion-activated lighting.
  • When returning home, be mindful of anything unusual with your residence.
