LOCATION OF CRIME
Arboretum Drive / Mrak Hall (Arboretum) – 207 PC - Attempted kidnapping
SUMMARY OF CRIME
Late this evening, the victim was walking alone along the Arboretum between Mrak Hall Drive and Arboretum Drive when an unknown male suspect approached her from behind, bear-hugging her. The victim realized it was not someone she knew, screamed, and fought back, managing to break free. She ran away and sought help from others, who called the police. The officers responded immediately and detained a person matching the suspect's description, but the victim later confirmed that the detained person was not the suspect and was, therefore, released. We have increased patrols in the area.
