LOCATION OF INCIDENT | CRIME

4868 X Street, Sacramento, CA 95817

SUMMARY OF CRIME | INCIDENT: MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT
On Monday 10/20/2025 at approximately 1:50 PM, the victim’s e-scooter was secured by a cable lock to a bicycle rack along the breezeway on the southeast side of the 48X Building. The cable was cut, and the e-scooter was stolen. A review of cameras provided a physical description of the suspect who may be responsible for at least three other e-scooter thefts since August 2025.

Suspect:  Hispanic or white male adult between 40-50 years old, bald or shaved head, light facial hair, a gray or blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans or khaki pants, and a backpack.

Stolen Vehicle(s): A Vicont e-scooter, black in color with some yellow trim on the scooter and tires.This crime is currently unsolved, and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should call UCDPD at 530-754-COPS (2677).   • Properly secure bicycles and e-scooters with proper, tamper-proof locking systems
  • Always be alert to your surroundings.
  • Be aware of location and situation that will make you vulnerable to crime, especially in darkness.
  • Avoid people and situations that make you nervous – Trust Your Instincts!
  • Stay in well-lighted areas as much as possible.
  • Try not to travel alone. Always try to vary your routes to and from work or school.
  • If you ever feel you or others are in danger, call 911.
