LOCATION OF CRIME:
Oxford Circle / Sycamore Lane (Yosemite Hall) - 459 PC; Residential Burglary
SUMMARY OF CRIME
On 05/02/25, between 1:00AM and 1:30AM, an unidentified suspect entered a dorm room within Yosemite Hall through a door that was left unsecured and propped open. These dorms are multi-unit with a separate main entry door which was believed to be secured at the time.
One resident was asleep in a top bunk during the incident. Another resident returned around 1:30AM to find the suspect inside the room. The suspect said they were looking for another female by a name unfamiliar with the resident and then left without incident. The victims checked for stolen property and found one wallet had cash removed and another wallet was missing. The crime was not reported to the police until days later.
This crime is currently unsolved, and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should call UCDPD at 530-754-COPS (2677). Updates regarding this incident, when and if available, will be posted on the UCDPD website at https://police.ucdavis.edu
Suspect: Asian male adult, 18-22 years old, medium complexion, dark curly hair, approximately 5’4” and medium build, and wore a red t-shirt and pants (possibly jeans).
