August 2025: Indecent Exposure
WHAT IS THIS NOTICE A crime has occurred that does not meet CLERY timely warning criteria, but it is necessary to notify the community due to lack of suspect identity. LOCATION OF CRIME UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden SUMMARY OF CRIME The UC Davis Police Department is investigating two recent incidents of indecent exposure reported in the Arboretum area. On 8/23/2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, A reporting party observed an unknown male subject loitering in the shrubbery of the Arboretum near Wyatt Pavilion. As the individual passed by, he was seen with his genitals exposed. No physical or verbal contact was made with the reporting party, who declined to speak with officers and provided the information via phone. Responding officers were unable to locate a subject matching the description, as the report was made an hour after the incident occurred. On 8/27/2025, at approximately 6:30 PM, A male subject was again seen loitering in the shrubbery of the Arboretum near Lake Spafford with his pants down and genitals exposed. The subject did not approach or engage with anyone in the area. Officers responded immediately but were unable to locate the individual. In response to these incidents, the UC Davis Police Department has increased both driving and walking patrols in the Arboretum, particularly during evening hours. Suspect(s): White male, possibly unhoused. Dirty blonde or chestnut-colored hair. Wearing a white T-shirt and either blue jeans or plaid blue shorts. CAMPUS COMMUNITY SAFETY TIPS FROM UC DAVIS POLICE
