WHAT IS THIS NOTICE

A crime has occurred that does not meet CLERY timely warning criteria, but it is necessary to notify the community due to lack of suspect identity.

LOCATION OF CRIME

C22-1967              Primero Grove Apartments, Davis             Occurred 12/26/2022 – 12/27/2022

C22-1968              Regan Hall Circle Lot, Davis                          Occurred 12/26/2022 – 12/27/2022

C22-1969              Russell Park Apartments, Davis                  Occurred 12/272022 at approx. 4:30 a.m.

SUMMARY OF CRIME

On December 27th, 2022, victims reported that their vehicles had been burglarized overnight. The primary method of entry was smashing the windows to gain access to the property inside the vehicles. During an area canvass, additional vehicles were found with smashed windows. Various items were stolen, such as a laptop, camping gear, and documents. In some cases, the vehicles were rummaged through, but nothing was reported missing.

These crimes remain unsolved and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should contact the UC Davis Police Department at 530-752-1727. • Always be aware of your surroundings.
• When community members look out for each other, they “See Something, Say Something”.
• Park in well-lit areas as much as possible.
• Remove items of value from the vehicle, or do not leave them in plain view.
• Secure, lock, and set the alarm on your vehicle.
• Report any suspicious activity to the UC Davis Police Department at 530-752-1727.
• Report a crime in progress by calling 911.
