LOCATION OFINCIDENT | CRIME

Sage Street / Hutchison Drive (West Village – The Rambles) | 459 PC – Burglary

SUMMARY OF CRIME | INCIDENT

On 03/14/23 between 3:30 AM and 6:30 AM, and unknown suspect entered an apartment and stole an e-bike, two Beats headphones, and a lacrosse bag with personal items. The property was stolen from the common area of the apartment while occupants were sleeping in their rooms. The victims recalled locking the door but there was no forced entry observed, and there was indication the lock may have not fully seated in the latch.

No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should contact UCDPD at 530-752-1727. Updates regarding this incident, when and if available, will be posted on the UCDPD website at https://police.ucdavis.edu

• Double check locks and report any known mechanical issues for repair.
• Always be alert for unusual activities and unfamiliar persons loitering in the area.
• Do not keep valuable items near windows with open drapes.
• Light all entrances or use motion-activated lighting.
• When returning home, be mindful of anything unusual with your residence.
