*Updated* October 2023: Sexual Assault

CLERY NOTICE | Case #: C23-1129| Date: 09-28-23

**Update**

On 10/4/23, UC Davis Police Department was contacted by the Santa Rosa Police Department about a possible sexual assault that had occurred several days prior.  Through the course of the preliminary investigation it was determined to have occurred on the UC Davis Campus.  The investigation is ongoing.


On 9-28-23 at approximately 7:30 PM the Victim was walking along the bike path between Kleiber Hall Drive and Sprocket Bikeway when the Suspect approached her on foot and pulled her into the bushes near Mann Laboratory.  The Victim was thrown to the ground where she was sexually assaulted by the Suspect.  After the assault, the Suspect left on foot in an unknown direction. 

This crime is currently unsolved and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this or similar incidents should call UCDPD at 530-754-COPS (2677). Updates regarding this incident, when and if available, will be posted on the UCDPD website at https://police.ucdavis.edu

Suspect: Male Adult, darker complexion, unknown age, 5-11 tall, with short dark hair, wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt and dark pants.

  6. Walk confidently and at a steady pace, making eye contact with people when walking.

  8. If you ever feel you or others are in danger, call 9-1-1.
